At a glance — your messages stay in your browser.
Your message content, attachments, recipient numbers, and any WhatsApp data you import or export never leave your browser. One exception: your own WhatsApp number, sent to our server for licensing — see section 3.
- Everything else is stored locally — in your browser's own storage, on your own device — and deleted when you remove the extension.
- Contact/chat/group/label data read from WhatsApp Web is used only to show it to you inside the extension popup, or to build a CSV file you download yourself.
- No account, no sign-up. Paying for Pro goes through Razorpay; we never see your card or UPI details.
What this extension does
Easy Bulk Send runs inside your Chrome browser while you have web.whatsapp.com open. It lets you compose one message and send it to a list of phone numbers you provide, with configurable pacing between sends. It can also read data already visible to your WhatsApp Web session — your contacts, chats, groups, and (on WhatsApp Business accounts) labels — and let you export that data as a CSV file you download to your own computer.
It offers a free trial and a paid Pro plan (monthly or yearly), licensed to your WhatsApp number instead of a separate account.
It is an independent tool. It is not made by, affiliated with, or endorsed by WhatsApp or Meta Platforms, Inc.
What data it touches, and where it goes
| Data | Where it comes from | Where it's stored | Ever sent off your device? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Phone numbers you enter or paste | Typed or pasted by you | Local browser storage | No |
| Message templates you write | Typed by you | Local browser storage | No |
| Campaign history (dates, counts, which numbers) | Generated as you use the extension | Local browser storage | No |
| Contacts, chats, groups, labels | Read from your open WhatsApp Web session | Kept only in memory while the popup is open, unless you click Download | No |
| CSV files you export | Built from the row above | Saved to your own Downloads folder by your browser | No — this is a local file save, not an upload |
| Your own WhatsApp number | Auto-detected from your logged-in WhatsApp Web session | Local browser storage, and our licensing server | Yes — see section 3 |
The one thing we do send: your own number, for licensing
Easy Bulk Send has a free tier (limited daily sends, time-limited trial) and a paid Pro tier. To check and enforce which one applies to you, the extension sends your own WhatsApp-registered phone number — and nothing else — to our server at be.easybulksend.com:
- When the popup opens, to check your current plan and trial status.
- When you start a Pro upgrade, to create a checkout session (this also creates a payment order with Razorpay, our payment processor, carrying your number so the correct account gets upgraded once you pay).
- Each time you successfully send a message, to count it against your daily free-tier limit.
We store your phone number and your plan/subscription status (active, trial day, expiry date) on our server so the extension can check it. We never receive the numbers you're sending to, your message content, attachments, or any WhatsApp contact/chat/group/label data — those stay entirely in your browser, as shown in the table above.
Paying for Pro is handled entirely by Razorpay, our payment processor — we never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details. Razorpay has its own privacy policy governing the payment itself.
How local storage works
Everything else the extension remembers — your phone number list, message templates, pacing settings, and campaign history — is saved using your browser's own localStorage API, scoped to this extension only. It lives on your device. Other extensions and websites cannot read it.
Uninstalling the extension, or clearing its storage from Chrome's extension settings, permanently deletes all of it on your end. Your phone number and plan status remain on our licensing server until you contact us to have them removed — see section 10.
What "reading WhatsApp data" actually means
To power the Export tab (All Contacts, Chat Contacts, Groups, Labels) and to send your messages, the extension reads data structures already loaded into WhatsApp Web's own page — the same data your browser already has because you're logged into WhatsApp. It does not log in on your behalf, does not access WhatsApp's servers directly, and cannot see anything your own WhatsApp Web session couldn't already see.
This data is used for exactly two things: displaying it to you inside the extension's popup, and — only if you explicitly click a download button — writing it into a CSV file saved to your device. It is not transmitted, sold, or shared with any third party.
Permissions, explained plainly
host_permissionsforweb.whatsapp.com— to inject the script that reads WhatsApp Web's page data and drives sending, to find your open WhatsApp Web tab and pass commands to it (e.g. "send this message," "load my contacts"), and to open/track the checkout tab when you upgrade to Pro. The extension has no access to any other website's content — this is the only permission it requests.
⚠️ One honest limitation
Easy Bulk Send can add a "reply STOP to opt out" line to your message text if you choose to. It does not currently read incoming replies or automatically suppress future messages to someone who replies STOP — that's a manual process you'd need to handle yourself today. We're noting this here directly rather than implying otherwise.
Your responsibility as a sender
You are responsible for having the right to message the numbers you upload, and for complying with WhatsApp's own Terms of Service and any applicable messaging/anti-spam law in your jurisdiction (e.g. TCPA, PECR, India's TRAI regulations). This extension is a sending tool; it does not verify consent on your behalf, and using it does not transfer any of that legal responsibility away from you.
Children's privacy
This extension is a productivity tool intended for business and personal messaging use by adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Your data, your choice
You can clear everything stored locally at any time from Chrome's extension settings. To have your phone number and plan/subscription history deleted from our licensing server, write to us using the contact details below — we'll confirm once it's done.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change with it. Material changes — anything that would alter what data is read or how it's handled — will be reflected here before they ship in a new extension version.
